Yellowstone

First of all, don't ever wear flip flops to Yellowstone. Dustin and I both did and our feet hurt SO bad now.

So um, yes. We went to Yellowstone for the day! It was about 1 1/2 hours away and was well worth the drive. We saw all the geisers and old lodges and packed a lunch. It was pretty hot, so we wore lots of sunscreen and I was the lucky one with the big purse to carry all the bottles of water.

Some of the small pools were so blue! It was like looking at the ocean in Hawaii. Lillie loved pointing out all the pools and geisers that made bubbles.

On our way home we stopped at Lewis Falls. It was loud and really cool to see. We had a really good day! It would have been a little better if I got a tan...

Lillie's 2009 Pictures

Lillie got her pictures taken about a month ago. She was being pretty shy the entire time! We ordered 4 or 5 different poses, but these two are my favorite. Oh, and sorry the quality is bad. I just scanned the originals in.

5k

My sister Dana (6 months prego) and I (4 months prego) ran a 5k race at the Greenbelt in Idaho Falls on Saturday. It was a fun morning. Oh, and I won an ipod shuffle at the raffle afterwards!

Mothers Day Etc.

Happy Mothers Day!
We spent Mothers Day weekend with my sister, Dana and with Dustin's family. Lillie loves going over to Aunt Dana's because she has a huge yard with a swingset and trampoline and lots of toys! Lillie also likes playing with all her cute cousins.

I've been needing a bike for a while, so for Mother's Day Dustin surprized me with this cute one! I wasn't expecting anything (I thought he forgot or something). It's just from Target but we added the basket and the bell. Dustin's working on putting the baby seat on the back as we speak.
Jackson has a really cool Rec. Center that's pretty cheap. We went swimming there last Thursday night. They have a big, warm splash pool for the little tikes that Lillie loved. We were there almost 2 hours.
All in all it was a good weekend. I love my family. I feel blessed to be adding another soon. I love being a mother and feel so blessed to raise our cute Lillie! It's the most rewarding, incredible calling in life and I wouldn't change what I do for anything.
Now....
Here's the story of having to give away our Abby. Well... in a nutshell we basically just got caught with a cat in our "pet free" apartment and had to immediately find a new home for her or get evicted. We gave her to my arents and bought her a 100$ plane ticket to PDX. Dustin's brother Tyson and his wife Alli took Abby for a couple of nights until the place left. We've had that cute kitten since the day we got married when she was a mere 3 weeks old and she's totally a part of the fam. It's weird/sad not having her around anymore, actually it was pretty devastating to get rid of her! The good part is that we can have her back anytime, though. Love you Abby!
